1. Overview

HomePick is a home services marketplace that connects homeowners with local contractors. By using HomePick, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. The Service

HomePick allows homeowners to browse contractors, select the ones they want to work with, and share their project details and contact information with those contractors. HomePick is a lead-generation platform — we do not perform any contracting work and are not a party to any agreement between homeowners and contractors.

3. Account and Contact Information

When you submit a request through HomePick, you provide your name, email, and phone number. This information is shared with the contractors you select. You are responsible for providing accurate contact information.

4. Email Notifications

By submitting a request on HomePick and providing your email address, you consent to receive transactional emails related to your project, including a dashboard link, updates about the contractors you selected, and account-related notifications. Contractors consent to receive email notifications of new leads when they are selected by a homeowner. You can manage notification preferences from your dashboard or unsubscribe from non-essential messages using the unsubscribe link in each email.

5. SMS/Text Messaging Terms

By submitting a request on HomePick and providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS text messages from HomePick related to your project request and the contractors you selected.

  • Program name: HomePick Lead Notifications
  • Message frequency: Message frequency varies. You may receive messages when contractors are notified, when there are updates to your request, or for service-related communications.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.
  • Opt-out: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any HomePick message. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages.
  • Help: Reply HELP to any message for support, or email support@homepick.co.
  • Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchase. You can use HomePick without providing a phone number for SMS.
  • Your phone number and SMS consent will not be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

Compatible carriers include but are not limited to: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and most major US carriers.

6. For Contractors

Contractors receive leads through HomePick at no cost. Leads include the homeowner's name, email, phone number, and project details. By participating as a contractor on HomePick, you agree to use homeowner contact information only for the purpose of responding to their project request. You may not sell, share, or use this information for unrelated marketing.

Tipping model. HomePick does not charge contractors any subscription, lead, or membership fee. After speaking with a homeowner who selected you, you may optionally leave a tip through your contractor dashboard. Tips are voluntary and have a suggested minimum of $50, in $5 increments. Tips help HomePick operate and influence your ranking: contractors who tip consistently receive featured placement and are prioritized for future leads in their service area. Tipping is never required to receive or respond to a lead, and choosing not to tip will not prevent you from using the platform.

7. Payments

Tips are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By submitting a tip, you authorize HomePick to charge the payment method you provide for the amount you select. HomePick does not store full payment card details on our servers — those are handled by Stripe and subject to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Tips are generally non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at support@homepick.co.

8. No Warranty

HomePick is provided "as is." We do not guarantee the quality, reliability, or availability of any contractor listed on our platform. We do not endorse any contractor and are not responsible for the work they perform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomePick and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or any interaction with contractors found through the service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of HomePick after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
