1. Information We Collect

When you use HomePick, we collect the following information that you provide directly:

• Contact information: your name, email address, and phone number
• Project information: service type, project details, size, timeline, zip code, and answers to project-specific questions
• Payment information (contractors only): when contractors leave a tip, payment details are collected and processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

We also automatically collect basic technical data such as IP address and browser type for security and rate-limiting purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Share your contact information and project details with the specific contractors you select on HomePick
• Send email notifications about your project, account, and lead activity (e.g., dashboard link, status updates, lead delivery to contractors)
• Send SMS notifications related to your project request where you have provided a phone number and consented to receive them
• Process tips submitted by contractors through our payment processor
• Provide and improve our services
• Prevent fraud and abuse

3. How We Share Your Information

Your contact information (name, email, phone) and project details are shared only with the contractors you explicitly choose on HomePick. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties for marketing purposes.

We may share information with service providers who help us operate HomePick under strict confidentiality agreements, including:

• Hosting and infrastructure: Vercel, Supabase
• Email delivery: Resend
• SMS delivery: Twilio
• Payment processing (contractor tips): Stripe
• Analytics: Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager

Mobile information and SMS opt-in data. No mobile information (including mobile phone numbers) or SMS opt-in consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories of information described in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; that information will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates. Mobile numbers and consent information are used solely to deliver the HomePick SMS Lead Notifications program to the user who provided them and are disclosed only to our SMS delivery service provider (Twilio) for the sole purpose of transmitting messages on our behalf.

4. Email Notifications

HomePick sends transactional emails to homeowners (project dashboard, updates, account) and contractors (new lead notifications, tip receipts). You can manage your notification preferences from your dashboard, or unsubscribe from non-essential communications using the unsubscribe link in each email. You cannot opt out of critical account and transaction emails while maintaining an active account or pending project.

5. SMS/Text Messaging

HomePick sends SMS messages to contractors to notify them of new leads from homeowners who selected them. Contractors opt in at https://homepick.co/contractor/signup by affirmatively checking a consent box before submitting the signup form. Homeowners may also receive SMS updates related to their project when they provide a phone number and submit a request.

• You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by toggling SMS preferences off in your dashboard

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest. Access tokens are cryptographically hashed and never stored in plain text. Payment card details are handled directly by Stripe and never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Unsubscribe from non-essential email communications via the link in each email
• Opt out of SMS communications by replying STOP
